Boyle Transportation receives 2011 SDDC Quality Award
Boyle Transportation received the 2011 Quality Award presented by Major General Kevin Leonard from DOD's Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Rod Mallette, Vice President Business Development, accepted this award on behalf of the entire Boyle Transportation team at the SDDC Symposium in Denver on March 7, 2012. We were honored to have been nominated by Fred Reinertsen, Navy Munitions Command (NMC) CONUS East Division (CED) Detachment Yorktown.

Boyle Transportation received the 2010 Quality Award presented by Major General Kevin Leonard from DOD's Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Marc Boyle, President and CEO, accepted this award on behalf of the entire Boyle Transportation team at the SDDC Symposium in Dallas on April 6, 2011. We were honored to have been nominated by Mr. Bob Dollard, DCMC Canada.
SDDC commanding general recognizes ‘Patriotic Employer’
During the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command’s 2011 Training Symposium April 4-6 in Dallas, Texas, Maj. Gen. Kevin Leonard, SDDC commanding general, took the opportunity to personally present a “Patriotic Employer” certificate to an industry partner who many would say went “above and beyond” the call of duty.
Boyle Transportation is pleased to announce that Rodney A. Mallette has been appointed to Vice President of Business Development. Prior to his appointment, he was a global account manager specializing in distribution solutions for Agility Logistics. Rod is a retired Army colonel who spent almost 28 years in logistics positions at all levels of the military. He earned an MS, National Resources from the National Defense University, an MBA from East Carolina University and graduated from the University of Alabama.
Scott J. Ryan has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Scott has been with the company for over 27 years and in recognition of his continuous contributions to the success of the business and in acknowledgement of the role that he has served in for several years Boyle Transportation is happy to announce this promotion. While his title has changed, Scott's role within the Operations Center has not.
Boyle Transportation is pleased to announce that MG Charlie Fletcher, USA (Ret.) has joined its Advisory Board. General Fletcher, now with Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems, is an exceptional and well-recognized leader in logistics and transportation.
Boyle Transportation received the 2008 Quality Award presented by Major General James Hodge from DOD's Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Marc Boyle, President and CEO, accepted this award on behalf of the entire Boyle Transportation team at the SDDC Symposium in Atlanta. We were honored to have been nominated by Naval Air Station Mayport, Florida. This marks the third time our company has received this award since 2000.
In December, Boyle Transportation donated $30,000 of truckload services to Wreaths Across America. Wreaths Across America is a non-profit group that provides holiday wreaths to be laid at military veterans’ grave sites each Christmas. We delivered thousands of wreaths from a nursery in Maine to 20 national cemeteries around the country. We were honored and humbled to participate in this collective effort.
Today, Boyle Transportation announced that it joined the SmartWaySM Transport Partnership, a innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
Boyle receives the 2008 "National Defense Transportation Association Distinguished Service Award."
