Major Gifts for 2006

Boyle Transportation has a long tradition of supporting local and national charitable oragnizations. During 2006, our company donated approximately $50,000. Such an amount is made possible by the efforts of all members of the Boyle Transportation team. Following is a list of the major gifts made during this year.

Homes for Our Troops - $5,000
Homes for Our Troops assists disabled service men and women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility. www.homesforourtroops.org

USO of New England - $5,000
The USO of New England used our donation to provide Christmas gifts and funds to the families of service men and women in New England. www.usonewengland.org

The St. Francis House - $5,000
The St. Francis House is the largest, most comprehensive day program for poor and homeless adults in New England. Its day shelter serves 300 to 550 adults per day, and also provides rehabilitative and job training services to its guests. More information is available at www.stfrancishouse.org.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp - $5,000
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides a camping experience for children who suffer from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. www.holeinthewallgang.org

$2,000 was contributed to each of the following organizations:
The House of Hope; The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica; The Naval War College Foundation; and The National Multiple Sclerosis Society

$1,000 was contributed to each of the following organizations:
New England Home for the Deaf Relief Fund (Danvers, MA explosion); Dyer, TN County Rescue Squad; Pease AFB Greeters’ Fund; The Devon Nicole House at Children’s Hospital Boston
