2019 NDTA Distinguished Service Award

October 10, 2019

Boyle Transportation was once again honored with the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Distinguished Service Award. We're happy to support NDTA in its educational mission to foster a strong and efficient transportation system for national security and we're grateful for this acknowledgement.

This year, NDTA celebrates its 75th Anniversary. Rick Araniz, Operations Director, accepted the award at the NDTA Fall Meeting in St Louis, MO on behalf of our entire team at Boyle Transportation.

We look forward to continuing to collaborate with our military and government partners to improve freight transportation in support of our National Defense. General Stephen Lyons, Commanding General, US TRANSCOM has taken up the term "4th component" to describe industry participants such as ocean, air, truck and rail carriers and port operators. USTRANSCOM has three military component commands —Air Mobility Command, Military Sealift Command and the Surface Distribution and Deployment Command. As a commercial industry partner, we embrace USTRANSCOM's mission of "deliver[ing] globally integrated mobility, deployment and distribution solutions, and enabling capabilities for full-spectrum requirements in support of national objectives."

"NDTA provides the strongest link I have seen between Department of Defense and the critical logistics capability of the commercial sector, and it provides the leadership, intellectual rigor, and actions to develop logistics policies and capabilities needed to defend the nation."  — Hon. Alan Estevez
