March 30, 2018

In December, the company was informed that it had placed first in the division of 5 to 15 million miles. There were six divisions, and division winners competed for a Grand Prize (one for fleets up to 25 million miles, and another for fleets greater than 25 million miles). Hundreds of carriers from the U.S. and Canada participated in the program.  A committee of judges including law enforcement and insurance underwriters evaluated the comprehensive, 20 page description that was submitted along with DOT inspection data and crash statistics.

"This achievement reflects the commitment to excellence that all Boyle Transportation employees embrace.  In particular, we salute our professional drivers.  You take pride in your work, you accept the challenge to improve continuously, and you safely navigate the highways despite sometimes difficult conditions.  You are professionals."

Team members from all functions of the company - operations to maintenance to administration - support safety objectives.  Without "buy in" across the board, such great results cannot be achieved. At Boyle Transportation, safety and profitability are aligned.

Mike Lasko, Safety and Quality Manager, led the company's submission for this program.
