March 2, 2010 - Boyle Transportation is pleased to announce that MG Charlie Fletcher, USA (Ret.) has joined its Advisory Board. General Fletcher, now with Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems, is an exceptional and well-recognized leader in logistics and transportation.

April 8 , 2009 - Boyle Transportation received the 2008 Quality Award presented by Major General James Hodge from DOD's Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Marc Boyle, President and CEO, accepted this award on behalf of the entire Boyle Transportation team at the SDDC Symposium in Atlanta. We were honored to have been nominated by Naval Air Station Mayport, Florida. This marks the third time our company has received this award since 2000. We're proud that we continue to provide the highest quality service in the Defense Transportation System.

January 8 , 2009 - In December, Boyle Transportation donated $30,000 of truckload services to Wreaths Across America. Wreaths Across America is a non-profit group that provides holiday wreaths to be laid at military veterans’ grave sites each Christmas. We delivered thousands of wreaths from a nursery in Maine to 20 national cemeteries around the country. We were honored and humbled to participate in this collective effort. Boyle Transportation made several other charitable contributions during 2008. Major gifts included $10,000 to The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, The USO of New England, and The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp; and $5,000 to the American Red Cross and Homes for Our Troops

October 22, 2008 - Today, Boyle Transportation announced that it joined the SmartWaySM Transport Partnership, a innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.

September 24, 2008 - Boyle Transportation is honored that we have been selected to receive the 2008 "National Defense Transportation Association Distinguished Service Award." We gratefully accept this award and we are proud of our work to support the goals and aims of NDTA. On behalf of our entire team --- professional drivers, operations and support personnel, all our employees and our advisory board --- Max Drake accepted this award at the International Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, September 24. We look forward to continuing to serve NDTA and the Defense transportation community.

February 2, 2008 - During 2007, Boyle Transportation donated approximately $50,000 in support of local and national charitable organizations including USO of New England, Homes for Our Troops, AmeriCares, The St. Francis House, The House of Hope, and The Hole in The Wall Gang Camp [more]

December 10, 2007 - Boyle Transportation is proud to announce that we donated truckload services in support of Wreaths Across America, an organization that provides Christmas wreaths to grave sites of military veterans across the country. We transported wreaths from a nursery in Maine to national cemeteries in Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. Boyle Transportation was represented by senior professional drivers Bob Poulin and Bob Slavy. October 1, 2006 - Effective today, October 1, 2006, Boyle Transportation will use ALK PC*Miler Version 20.1 for the computation of miles for pricing purposes. We have standardized on the current version of the Defense Table of Official Distantces (DTOD), see website at dtod.sddc.army.mil .

May 23, 2006 - Richard Dunne, a 30 year veteran of Boyle Transportation, was named the 2006 Massachusetts Safe Driver of the Year by the Massachusetts Motor Transportation Association.  Mr. Dunne has driven 2 million miles without a chargeable accident, and he serves as a trainer for newly hired Boyle drivers.  He has been active in educating the motoring public about highway safety, particularly through the DOT's "No Zone" program.

Mar 29, 2006 - Boyle Transportation recently signed up to participate in the Amber Alert Highway Network. The AMBER Alert program uses media and highway signs to notify the public in serious child abduction cases. 225 children have been safely recovered as a direct result of an AMBER alert. We are partnering with Qualcomm to expand the distribution of Amber alerts.
